Who needs FOODSAFE?Food Service Industry employees who work in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
The FOODSAFE program was developed to help food handlers prevent foodborne illness. Level 1 is designed for anyone who works in the food service industry. It explains correct food handling procedures that reduce the risk of food borne illness and includes safe work habits in the food industry. Level 2 is designed for supervisors, managers and establishment owners or operators. It is more in depth and covers an introduction to HACCP principles, includes information on how to write a food safety plan, management systems in health and hygiene.
